Their turn...

DSC_0188
Ever since my oldest daughter decided to give her quarter of the girls' bedroom a makeover, her younger sisters have been itching to do the same to theirs.

So weekend-before-last we finally got around to picking up their paints.

And then life got busy and a week went by without opening the cans.  Littlest sister was beside herself with impatience to get started.

But finally the big day came....

...and she was more than a little bit excited :).

We let them pick their own designs and paint color.  Butterfly went with green and polka dots.

And couldn't have been more thrilled to get to do some of the painting herself.

It took more than a couple deep breaths for me to smile through the imperfections, but it all turned out fine in the end and was so worth watching their pride in knowing they helped with their masterpiece.

Next it was on to CarriBear's side of the room...

Which naturally involved purple, her very, very, very favorite color...

Yippee!  A new room!

(The design idea for the monkeys and palm tree came from here.)
