While on vacation in Florida last week, we celebrated all the Spring birthdays in the family with a beachy Pirate Party. For the first time, all of our Spring Break weeks coordinated so we had most of my siblings' families down at the beach together.
Aunt Lolo and her daughter got to come, too!
My oldest daughter burst forth with party planning skills (coming from some unknown depths of her gene pool, the likes of which sadly skipped her mother) and planned out everything from a cake to cover the interests of four different birthday kids to a treasure hunt on the beach. (Her assistant, Grandma, was in charge of the decorations). They both did a fantastic job!
(note to self: Johnny Depp pirate scowls actually only work on Johnny Depp)
The Birthday Crew
Can you guess what CarriBear's favorite part of the party was? Aarrrgh, the booty, of course. :)
(lest I be thought to be a photo pirate: many of these pictures were taken by my hubby and Aunt Lolo (thanks for sharing!))
So fun getting to watch my niece, who is now a toddler, enjoy the beach on this trip.
She already has her sea legs. :)
(BeachPea was in baby heaven!)
(new bathingsuit from grandma)
Isn't she a cutie?
By the way, sorry I've been letting the pics speak for themselves so much lately. It's about a month away from the end of the homeschooling year and I'm officially brain dead. There is nothing left, no output. But May looks to be a slightly less busy month than April was, so hopefully I can rejuvenate some soon. Thanks for your patience. :)
