Life Lately/Kitten Update

Though we've still had a few end-of-the-year activities going on, like high school graduation, where BeachPea got to be a "Cake Princess" and bring and serve her own cake,


and days at the park with friends,


we've mostly been hanging out at the farm, finishing up school, watching daddy and BeachPea work on our new outside shower and observation deck (I'm so excited!),


(By the way, the observation deck is for observing stars at night, not people taking a shower.  In case there was any confusion there).


and playing on our new rescued waterslide (thank you, Daddy!).

And of course, we've been spending many, many hours watching the kitties, who are already 7 weeks old now.  And are so fun.


They've been moved out to the front porch, where it's a little more peaceful.




Until they wake up, then it's non-stop flying furballs.










No!  Not bathtime!






























Life is fun.

The graduate

Our Butterfly graduated from kindergarten yesterday (sniff).

Her sweet Aunt Ali sent her flowers to celebrate her big day.


She was so excited.


As this is an election year, the theme for graduation was "Presidents".  Big sisters were asked to be flag bearers and "secret service agents".


Butterfly was so excited to finally be graduating.


As 6-year-olds, the main topic of conversation was, of course, how many loose teeth one had.




Serious.


Pledges.


Each graduate had a couple of lines about a president to present.




Then they were awarded their diplomas.


Hooray, you did it Butterfly!


There was a reception afterwards.  Every graduate had their own table.






I made Butterfly a photobook to celebrate her graduation and her first six years.  She had a great time looking through it.















She also had fun showing off her school portfolio.


But mostly her photobook.




Congratulations, baby girl!  We're so proud of you!
